Why
Our team of chartered surveyors and non-domestic energy assessors have spent their entire careers
adding value to commercial real estate, working for some of the biggest names in the industry.
Our 3 Stage Approach:
1. ASSESS
Undertake a detailed site survey. Build an energy model to provide the current baseline EPC using current methodology and carbon factors.
2. ADVISE
We use our deep rooted asset management experience to advise which are the most cost-effective upgrade options available for the subject building.
3. DELIVER
If required, our in-house project management team is available to procure and deliver any works required.
Our Approach as a Commercial EPC Provider
Our unique approach delivers cost-effective EPCs with the best possible rating.
Our focus is on achieving the highest possible rating for our clients. We achieve this by taking the time to find actual values, rather than relying on default values (which many assessors do). This ensures full EPC compliance and accurate results.
This approach delivers fantastic results for our clients. We have successfully improved EPC ratings, increasing ratings from a D to a B, without any building upgrades being undertaken. This EPC rating improvement significantly boosts our clients' returns by enabling the removal of allocated CAPEX for building upgrades, removing the time and disruption of works, and improving rental levels.
For those buildings that do require upgrades, we provide detailed EPC assessments and energy evaluations with recommendations aligned with the building’s lifecycle and systems. As part of our wider energy advisory service, we also consider the performance of heating, ventilation, and cooling systems, often liaising with an HVAC contractor to ensure efficiency improvements are cost-effective and practical. Whether acting as a commercial property inspector or a trusted building inspector, our aim is to achieve the target Energy Performance Certificate UK rating for the lowest cost and least disruption to the property.

3 Crucial Reasons to Instruct Today
1. Securing a compliant EPC increases capital value by:
increasing the rent achievable.
removing the risk of obsolescence.
removing uncertainty around the cost of compliance upgrades.
improving liquidity.
2. Improving your EPC compliance ensures adherence to EPC legislation, removing the risk of fines for non-compliance, which can be up to £150,000 per breach. This also mitigates the associated reputational risk of being fined and named, while achieving the target rating for the lowest cost and least disruption.
3. Taking action now will help avoid major build cost inflation:
There are around 2,000,000 commercial buildings in the UK.
Over 80% of these buildings are still below an EPC B.
This means there are over 1,600,000 commercial buildings in the UK that have not yet instructed the required upgrade works.
With only 5 years left to the 2030 deadline, major build cost inflation is forecast as demand outstrips supply.
